For years, people of many religions and faiths have criticized the gay and lesbian for living the way their Creator designed them to live . . . oftentimes using the Bible as a tool of that criticism. As I was struggling with living as the Christian God created me to be versus the Christian the people with man's churches "wanted" me to be, I decided to pursue a study on subject of homosexuality . . . utilizing God's original Greek and Hebrew so I could get a better understanding on the topic. I encourage each of you who are really interested in this topic to do your own study and compare notes. You will probably find something else in God’s Word that I have overlooked or to which I did not compare.

This study is not meant to be an all-inclusive study on the topic, but simply an overview. I do not contend that I have the absolute total corner on the market as far as translating these Scriptures. However, I have taken the time to do the research to attempt to glean a better understanding. As a result, after doing a thorough study on those scriptures most often used from the Bible, I've provided a Bible study from the original Hebrew and Greek to take a look at what God originally said . . . not what man has translated down through the years. In this process, I also participated in a Bible study provided by Pastor Jim Burns from Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies, so some of his thoughts are paraphrased from that study.

The dialog throughout this Bible study is quite lengthy, therefore, I’ve divided the Bible study into two main parts – the Old Testament and the New Testament; however, I will use cross-referenced scriptures from both. This is not the type of study that can be read through and digested in a 5-minute sitting . . . it is not meant to be that type of a study. I encourage you to print a copy of both the Old and New Testament studies, settle down in your favorite place to read, grab a cup of coffee or tea, ask God to speak to you in any way S/He sees fit, open-up your Spirit to receive, and enjoy!

God is Love. We are all created from Her/His image, so we have Her/Him inside of our very being. This study will provide insight into who we truly are, and will hopefully provide every gay and lesbian and every person of any color a new confidence in who God created each of us to be in this life.

Gay and lesbian issues seems to be more and more in the news. For some recent GLBT-related news, check-out the Gay and Lesbian News section. I have included this page to provide overviews of some of the "hot topics" relating to us and to the world as a whole. The best thing we can do as individuals is be aware of what's going on in our political world that affects how we live (or can't live) in the freedoms promised to us in our Constitution (for those of us living in the United States), then to be informed as to how our political leaders(?) stand on these issues and hold them accountable.

Even if you're a straight person reading this website, the impact of equality (or inequality) will ultimately affect your life as well. Every person is impacted by a gay man or lesbian in some fashion. If a government is quick to ensure one type of person is not ensured equality, it will not hesitate to do the same for other segments of the population.

“First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.”

Protestant Pastor in Lippstadt, Westphalia

May God bless each of you!
