Worldwide Impact
During my studies at the University of Denver, I was fortunate to take some women’s studies classes as part of my electives. I had a wonderful time doing research in this area. I hope one day to be able to devote more of my time to activism for women, but in the meantime, am going to commit this website to such a worthy cause.

I have a list of links for websites that I have found informative and helpful, and not entirely bashing of this current administration (I know it’s hard to find anything good with this administration, but I do try on a daily basis).

Please take a look at some of these websites. I encourage each of you to get involved in an activist group wherever you live. They are literally throughout the world. It is only through our voices being heard and us bonding together that we will be able to demand changes for all women and girls.

The following quote from Pastor Martin Niemoeller has become quite popular, but the message speaks volumes.

“First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.”

Protestant Pastor in Lippstadt, Westphalia
(1892-1984)

Let’s speak-up for our rights for equality before it is too late!

Links:
Business Council for Peace - According to their website, they help “women in regions of conflict and post-conflict build businesses to sustain their families and strengthen their abilities to foster peace.”

CODEPINK Women for Peace - I actually had an opportunity to research this group when I was at DU and found them to be on the cutting edge for peace activism. According to their website, they are a “women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement that seeks positive social change through proactive, creative protest, and non-violent direct action.”

Feminist Majority Foundation - This foundation “is a cutting edge organization dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. In all spheres, FMF utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically.”

National Organization for Women - NOW is probably the most recognizable organization for women’s rights in America. It states about itself on its website, “Since its founding in 1966, NOW's goal has been to take action to bring about equality for all women. NOW works to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the workplace, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society; secure abortion, birth control and reproductive rights for all women; end all forms of violence against women; eradicate racism, sexism and homophobia; and promote equality and justice in our society.”
